- The Satellite Application Conference 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the "Conference") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act to protect the personal information of data subjects and to handle related complaints promptly and efficiently.
- Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
- The Conference processes personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information will not be used for purposes other than those specified below. In the event of a change in purpose, the Conference will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
Application and management of event participation: To confirm participation intent, identify participants, process payments (if applicable), send confirmation emails, and provide event-related announcements and notifications.
Provision of services: To provide event content, surveys, and opportunities to participate in activities and promotions.
Handling of complaints: To verify complaints, communicate for factual investigation, and notify results.
- Article 2 (Collected Personal Information and Collection Methods)
- The Conference collects the following personal information:
Required items: Name, email, mobile phone number, affiliation, job title, and areas of interest
Collection methods: Through the website during event registration or surveys, and via on-site or offline forms
- Article 3 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)
- The Conference processes and retains personal information within the period agreed upon by the data subject or as required by applicable laws.
Application and management of event participation: Until one year after the end of the event, or for a longer period if required by applicable law.
Complaint handling: Until 3 years after resolution (in accordance with laws such as the Consumer Protection Act in Electronic Commerce)
- Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
- The Conference provides personal information to third parties only when permitted by the data subject’s consent or under specific legal provisions (Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act). Personal information is only used within the stated purpose range and will not be provided to third parties without prior consent.
- Article 5 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)
- The Conference may outsource certain tasks to ensure smooth handling of personal information as follows:

When entering into outsourcing agreements, the Conference specifies duties such as prohibition of processing beyond the original purpose, security safeguards, restrictions on subcontracting, and liabilities. The Conference supervises the trustee’s handling of personal information.
If there are changes to the entrusted tasks or trustees, they will be disclosed through this Privacy Policy without delay.
- Article 6 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Their Exercise)
- Data subjects (or legal representatives of minors under 14) may exercise the following rights regarding personal information:
Request access to personal information
Request correction of inaccuracies
Request deletion
Request suspension of processing
These rights may be exercised in writing, by email, or fax. The Conference will respond without undue delay. During the process of correction or deletion, the relevant information will not be used or disclosed.
- Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)
- The Conference destroys personal information without delay once the retention period has expired or the purpose has been achieved.
If the personal information must be retained under other laws even after the retention period has expired, it will be moved to a separate database or stored in a different location.
Destruction procedure: The Conference selects personal information to be destroyed and obtains approval from the data protection officer.
Destruction method: Electronic data is permanently deleted using technical methods; paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
- Article 8 (Measures for Ensuring Security of Personal Information)
- The Conference implements the following measures to secure personal information:
Administrative measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular staff training
Technical measures: Access control, encryption of sensitive information, installation and update of security programs
Physical measures: Restricted access to server rooms and document storage rooms

- Article 11 (Changes to This Privacy Policy)
- This Privacy Policy shall take effect from [Initial Enforcement Date]. Any changes will be notified at least 7 days in advance through announcements.
